If you are the owner of a motor boat, speedboat, rubber boat, PVC boat and other small vessel up to 24 meters in size or a jet ski (hydrocycle), in accordance with the Law of Ukraine on Registration of Watercraft, in order to legally enter inland waters or the sea, you are required to have the rights to drive a small vessel.

How to obtain rights for a small vessel up to 24 meters in length or a jet ski (hydrocycle)?

– obtain a certificate of completion of an educational and training institution;
– after receiving a certificate of completion of an educational and training institution, the responsible person of the Center for Navigation forms a list of documents for submission to the state body for taking the exam.
– documents are submitted to the Shipping Administration in person by the student or via an electronic account.
– after submitting documents to the state body within 3 days, you will be invited to the exam with an indication of the place and time.
– the exam consists of 10 test questions and lasts 20 minutes, to successfully pass the exam you need to answer 7 test questions (70%). The exam is taken separately for each category.
– after successfully passing the exam, within 10 working days, you will receive a Certificate from the Shipping Administration. The Certificate is obtained in person or through an authorized person (power of attorney)

PS Candidates who have received a document confirming successful completion of theoretical and practical training in the National Technical Training Center and have not confirmed their qualifications in the Criminal Code, before the entry into force of these Procedures, may receive a Certificate on the basis of such documents that were received no earlier than January 1, 2021

Package of documents:
To complete the courses and obtain the right to drive a motor boat, you should collect the necessary documents:

• copy of passport (or passport ID) and residence permit;
• a certificate confirming the completion of a medical examination (can be ordered from us);
• identification code (its copy or extract from the place of registration);
• 3 * 4 photos (you can take them yourself through our website);
• Foreigners who wish to study at the courses, before obtaining boating licenses, present a document confirming their legal stay in the country (this may be a residence permit or temporary registration).
